About Mendocino Patriot
Mendocino Patriot is an independent, locally-owned newspaper serving Mendocino County and the greater Emerald Triangle. We believe in honest, straightforward journalism that puts our community first.
Our Purpose
We exist to give Mendocino County a voice. We don't answer to Sacramento, San Francisco, or any political party. We answer to the people who live and work here—the ranchers, the small business owners, the families who've called this county home for generations.
What We Believe
Local First
We focus on issues that affect our community directly—land use, water rights, local government, and the economy.
Independent
We don't take marching orders from anyone. Our coverage is driven by facts, not ideology.
Common Sense
We approach stories with practical thinking, not political dogma.
Accountable
We hold local officials and institutions accountable to the people they serve.
